 Internal Sales Office Manager


£32 - £38k pa DOA


Due to expansion and growth our client is recruiting for a talented Sales Office Manager, who has previous experience ideally within Construction, coupled with excellent leadership and management acumen and 1st class client service skills.

It is an exciting time to join this successful and long standing business based in West Yorkshire.


Role Overview:


The role sits within The Groups most high profile Product Sector and largest contributor in terms of turnover and profit. The Sales Department are in an enviable position whereby they manage all enquiries from inception through to delivery. The office is a fast paced environment, one which requires a Teamwork, a “can do” attitude along with an eye for detail and a desire for learning. Role requirements:


·        The Internal Sales Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales office functions and staff.

·        Overseeing quote submissions, order processing, negotiation with “subcontractors” and providing exceptional customer service.

·        The Internal Sales Office Manager is expected to maintain high standards of efficiency, organisation, and communication within the Sales Office and with internal and external stakeholders.

·        The Sales Office Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the Sales Coordinators, including performance, development and support.

·        Staff management, reviews, development and training in conjunction with HR


1.           Enquiries


·        Responsible for customer enquiries by telephone or e-mail relating to buildings (products) are channeled through the Sales Office and dealt with as follows:


Product Enquiries:


·        Enquiry files set up and filed appropriately

·        Quotations managed and processed quickly and efficiently whilst delivery in line with the Companies branding image

·        Drawing requests to be issued to Technical department and verified before issuing to the client

·        Regular follow up on quotations

·        Potential orders updating on Prospect List with accurate information

·        Point of Sale Enquiries:

·        All customer enquiries by telephone or e-mail relating to “Point of Sales” will be processed and passed on to purchasing to arrange a dispatch courier where required.




·        Keep updated with all customer contacts from the Sales Coordinators and their relevant area


2. Sales Order Processing


Upon receipt of the client order, process the order through Production as follows:


·        Client Order Acknowledgement to be issued

·        Update Sales Office “Order Board”

·        Schedule with Production

·        Ensure drawings are actioned

·        Request drawing approval

·        Ensure dialogue with Client is maintained and updates on production is communicated and any issues are resolved with Clients knowledge and agreement/understanding

·        Keep order status report up to date

·        Handover to Production Planner within agreed timescales

·        Update weekly transport list

·        Issue “After Sales” packs to client


3.     General:


·        Produce Weekly/Monthly reports regarding Sales Order Processing as requested.

·        Become conversant with any computerised systems being used – training will be provided

·        Assist with general administration duties within the Department as and when required

·        Update Client Spreadsheets

·        Use of Workflow (not essential as this is a new system that will come with training)




·        Experience managing a team.

·        Experience of sales account management (high worth clients)

·        Strong numeracy and financial management skills

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary.

·        IT skills including advanced Excel and Word are essential.
