First Choice Recruitment are delighted to be working with an Engineering Company based in Horbury, who are seeking an experienced and talented Bookkeeper & Office Manager. They have big growth plans, and this is an exciting time to join.

Accounts & Office Manager


  • Matching delivery notes to invoices

  • Data entry of various bespoke systems

  • Recording and maintaining holiday entitlement.

  • Reconciling month end and year end accounts.

  • Processing invoices, tracking receipts, inputting expenses and other bookkeeping tasks.

  • Purchasing stationary, mobile phone equipment, IT equipment and non-stock items.

  • Producing weekly & monthly & Contractor payroll

  • Acting as a point of contact for suppliers via email, phone or in person.

  • Dealing with and resolving customer queries.

  • Work closely with, site management.

  • Answering the telephone when required

  • Preforming all administrative duties necessary for the efficient running of a growing business.

Person Specification:

  • Able to work on own initiative.

  • Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting.

  • Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Sage & IRIS (IRIS training can be given)

  • Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks, work to deadlines.

  • Good customer service skills when dealing with Clients or suppliers.

  • Data entry for processing invoices and payment runs.

  • Confidential personal employee information.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal communications skills and good telephone manner.

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and clients.


  • Bookkeeping qualification - preferable AAT or equivalent


£22 - £25K PA (Depending on experience)
