First Choice Recruitment are currently seeking for Night Shift Brewer to work for our client based in the Ossett WF5 area on a temp–perm basis for the right candidate!
Our client produces a varied range of beverage products so you will be a key part of the production team !
We are currently looking for a candidate to fill the role of Brewer working on our 65hl manual brewhouse. Additionally, you will work closely with the team focusing on wort production, fermentation management, cellaring task, tank cleaning, beer transfer and packaging tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong track-record of attention to detail, eager to learn and passion for producing high quality beer.
Duties and responsibilities:
Ensuring safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
Wort production on a 65hl manual brewhouse.
Responsible for ensuring good overall brewery hygiene including CIPs on vessels and product lines
Cellar management and workflow management.
Monitoring fermentations.
Yeast management including cell counts, cropping and propagation.
Assisting our quality assurance/control program including micro sampling, sensory and food safety compliance.
Keeping records accurate and up-to-date
Ensuring clean working environment with clean as you go practices.
Experience and requirements
One year working in a brewery environment or experience working in a production role
Positive and committed attitude.
Strong communication skills.
Good time management skills
Legal requirements to work in the UK.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary. We are looking for someone who has a flexible approach to work. We work on a rotating shift system with 25% paid for unsociable hours.
