First Choice are recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of their successful client, who is located in Horbury.
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for various financial tasks and providing valuable insights to support decision-making within the organisation. Your duties will include:
Managing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting and monthly management accounts
Analysing financial data and preparing accurate monthly financial statements
Conducting variance analysis
Assisting the wider team with other accounts functions
Maintenance of the fixed asset register
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Assist with the annual budget process
Ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance Leadership team
Skills
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
CIMA or equivalent newly qualified or finalist
Proficiency in using accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
Experience a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment desirable
