Role: Compliance Administrator

Salary: £18,000 - £23,000
Working hours: 09.00 - 17.30
First Choice Recruitment are actively recruiting for a Compliance Administrator to join our client based in the Finchley area of Greater London. My client is an established market leader within its industry with over 30 years experience.
My client is based in North London and offer a fun, friendly and vibrant working environment and are actively seeking to add to their growing Compliance department.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role
Understanding Know Your Client (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) regulatory requirements, and applying these to our customers in line with the company’s policies and procedures
Investigating customer transactions as part of periodic and event-driven customer KYC, using a variety of tools including internal systems, internet searches, proprietary and third-party databases.
Conducting PEP, Sanctions and adverse media screening on clients/related parties and the discounting of false positive hits.
Escalating confirmed suspicious activities to the company’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
Answering telephone and email enquiries regarding UK company formations and associated due diligence requests
Dealing with client queries in an efficient and courteous manner
Skills and competences required to succeed in the position
Experience of KYC and CDD processes
Attention to detail and accuracy is key to the role
PC literate with experience of using databases
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Ability to communicate appropriately with both the general public and professionals
Multi-tasking and flexibility
Organised and hard-working individual
