Shipping Administration Coordinator

First Choice have an exciting opportunity to join the team at one of our clients who is an established fast-growing discount wholesaler.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Shipping Coordinator to join our Shipping & Logistics team.
You will be responsible for all stages of the import function to ensure a smooth and timely delivery for all our inbound goods.
You will provide invaluable support to the wider team to ensure knowledge of goods shipped is fully accessible.
Duties will include:
Liaise with our freight forwarders and their logistics departments on Vessel ETD’s and ETA’s
Liaise with worldwide suppliers regarding future bookings and clearance documentation, and deal with any queries as they arise
Liaise with our distribution centres to organise the delivery and booking in of the goods
Oversee the shipping documentation checking process
Adopt a continuous improvement methodology to all activities within the shipping function
The successful candidate will:
Education - A-Level or equivalent
Previous experience within a similar role
Working knowledge of Incoterms
Excellent working proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
Organised reporting and ability to work to strict deadlines
A solution focused individual with the ability to take initiative
