 £28 - £30k

 9 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday

 CIPD Level 7 Qualified

 Reporting in to the Group HR / SHE Manager, we are looking for an experienced HR Manager who has worked within a large organisation who will provide a comprehensive range of Human Resource services and oversee the issuing of company policies across the group. Also responsible for developing and implementing better people management practices in partnership with operational management teams; sharing responsibility for goals and target delivery.

 Key Responsibilities:

  •  Assist the Group HR Manager on the day to day running of the Group HR Department

  • Assist management teams on recruitment and staffing plans

  • Responsible for ensuring all new employees are taken through a company induction relevant to their roles

  • Maintain company policies [which form part of the Employee handbook] and ensure familiarity across the group

  • Policy development and documentation, ensuring adherence

  • Keep up-to-date with current legislation and employment law

  • Understand and convey the impact of legislation changes to the management teams

  • Instill effective employee relations and communication

  • Provide HR advice, coaching and support to management teams

  • Oversee the running and effective maintenance of the group Learning Hub database

  • Arrange for exit interviews to be conducted by Group HR to identify reasons for employee termination

  • Attend HR-related hearings and investigations as note taker / HR Advisor

  • Management of sickness and absence in line with company policies

  • Advise on formal processes, such as disciplinary, grievance, health, etc

  • Administer and manage Maternity Leave / Paternity Leave / Parental Leave notifications

  • Develop and implement relevant feedback mechanisms to support measurement / improvement of employee satisfaction

  • Supervise, mentor, train and develop members of the Group HR Team

  Skills / Experience /Qualifications:

  •   Previous experience in Human Resources Management, preferably in a group environment

  •   Formal CIPD qualification [level 7 minimum] or equivalent        

  • Excellent communication skills   

  •   Ability to deal sensitively with confidential information

  •   Ability to communicate well with various levels, both verbally and written; sometimes in challenging situations 

  •  Strong knowledge and understanding of employment law, government regulations, and HR best practices

  • Possess a professional and commercial approach to HR

  •   Knowledge and experience of TUPE legislation

  •   Recognised Trade Union environment
