Field IT Technician - Telecoms
Wakefield WF2
£24,000 and £30, 000 per annum
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
First Choice are currently recruiting for a knowledgeable and confident Field IT Technician to join our busy Telecoms client.
The role.
Capable of dealing with technical problems at client’s sites and be focused on providing a solution in a timely fashion
Good technical skills gained in a technology environment would be beneficial
The role requires visits businesses to service and install both telecoms and IT equipment.
In most cases the use of a laptop is the primary tool, however there is a need at times for cables to installed and other peripheral equipment to be provided. i.e., Access Points, switches, data devices or door entry solutions.
The Peron:
As Field Engineer you should be technically astute
You will have excellent problem solving and analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail is a must to succeed as our Field Engineer
Must have some technical knowledge ideally amassed over at least 3 years
Must be familiar with Microsoft products and services, PC’s, and servers
Must be able to drive and will have access to their own vehicle during work hours – mileage expenses paid
A field-based technician who can work on their own initiative in a business environment
The ideal candidate will have good communications skills as well as a professional attitude
Other:
The position requires that occasionally travel around the UK is required and sometimes an overnight stay away from home might be required -This requirement is rare, but candidates should consider this fact before applying
Candidates will be provided with a laptop and some basic hand tools
A company uniform which comprises of polo shirts and a fleece will also be provided

The salary for this role is dependent on experience and knowledge
The salary range will be between £24,000 and £30, 000 per annum plus a car allowance
Pension contribution statutory
20 days paid holiday + will apply after a qualifying period of 3 months.
