Purchase Ledger Clerk

An exciting opportunity to join a start up retail business with ambitious plans for rapid expansion has arisen at our client based in Barnsley.

£18,000 - £22,000

The Role:
With an established pipeline of store openings, the candidate needs to be able to ‘hit-the-ground’ running and take immediate responsibility for all purchase ledger responsibilities.
• Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
• Deal with invoices queries in a timely matter, this will include liaising with the suppliers and their warehouse to resolve any differences
• Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
• Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
• Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
• Process business expense forms
• Processing BACs payments
The ideal candidate:
• Previous purchase ledger experience
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-discipline
• Good team working skills
• The ability to work to monthly deadlines
• Knowledge of software packages like Excel and Sage
• Retail experience preferable
