OVERVIEW:

The role of Sales Office Manager will involve getting the best out of your team to provide customers with the best experience possible. It is a management position within the business and carries the pressure and responsibility associated. The role requires core KPI’s to be produced and monitored to encourage peak performance.
Taking charge, leading and motivating the team is the core responsibility. You will have demonstrable skills to make sure customers are handled in a friendly, useful and professional way.
It's equally important for you to build knowledge and understanding of products, procedures and policies. The role will be hands on leading a current team of 6 with a view to developing our pro-active customer approach.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• A genuine interest in working with and helping customers both internal and external
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Demonstrable previous experience with the ability to supervise and motivate staff in a team
• A good understanding of numbers and planning
• The ability to be flexible, decisive and quick-thinking
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• The ability to handle complaints and difficult situations in a patient, calm and effective way.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
• Operating knowledge of ERP & CRM systems advantageous

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage the Sales Office Team and ensure they;
• Communicate courteously with customers by telephone, email, letter and face to face
• Ensure all orders are processed in an accurate timely manor
• Provide help and advice to customers using products or services
• Take every opportunity to “upsell” or “telemarket”
• Investigate and solve customers' service issues, reported by the Sales Office Team or External Sales Forces
• Keep accurate records of discussions and correspondence with customers or employees
• Analyse statistics and produce /monitor KPI’s of customer service JPD is providing
• Communicate within the management team to continually evolve processes for customer experience improvement
• Conduct annual appraisals of team members
• Work with Marketing to ensure the team have up to date product and pricing knowledge
• Work closely with Supply Chain to enable swift response to customer delivery enquiries

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

• This is a management position and you will be required to work sufficient hours to meet the requirements of the job
• Ideal candidate will be within 1 hour’s commute of our Dewsbury office where the position is based
