PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week

First Choice are looking for a fulltime payroll administrator to join our client based at their head office in Ossett.

This is a great opportunity to join a vibrant, Yorkshire company.

Your duties will include:

  • Accurately calculating the right amounts of pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses etc

  • Processing data related to the weekly and monthly payments from start to finish.

  • Managing RTI and the Auto-enrolment scheme for the company.

  • Deducting the right amount of pension contributions, income tax and national insurance.

  • Other general duties such as answering the telephone, fielding enquiries.

  • Verifying hours worked, consulting employees about any discrepancies.

  • Calculating and processing SMP, SSP, P45’s P60’s etc

  • Recording payroll data onto Sage payroll software and verifying amounts prior to signing off for payments in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Altering employee tax status as needed as well as any information about withholding monies.

  • Changing employee banking records when necessary to process payments accurately.

  • Communicating with employee handling questions, and concerns about payroll with department heads

  • Managing year end processes and associated returns.

  • Collaborating with the HR department to maintain employee data, tracking holidays etc.

  • Calculating pay rises, bonus payments, shift payments etc

  • Resolving issues employees have with their timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters.

The Person:

  • Detail oriented, adept at noticing errors, able to multi task and prioritize as well as being highly trustworthy dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

  • Minimum of two years payroll experience.

  • Experience with SAGE 50 payroll software.

  • Strong attention to detail.
