Commercial Manager - Procurement

⚡️Based in South Yorkshire
⚡️£40k - £55K

The role:

•Developing and Implementing Supply Chain strategies within this growing business
•The development and implementation of supply chain management strategy and improvement at high a level
•Working with the Team to assess opportunities to the supply base
•Develop, implement, and monitor purchasing agreements
•Developing internal frameworks to drive added value
•Developing bespoke KPIs and collaborative commercial agreements with suppliers
•Developing, implementing, and reviewing various procurement models
Commodity price analysis tracking
•Working and collaborating with clients and peer organisations to drive added value & efficiency.
•Standards & specifications to be challenged
•Developing, implementing, and monitoring of annual strategic measures for supply chain improvement
•Devise and implement procurement policies and procedures
•Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
•Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
•Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
•Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
•Finalise purchase details of orders and deliveries
•Examine and test existing contracts
•Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
•Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
•Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
•Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
•Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
•Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

The Person:

•Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement or Commercial Manager
•Strategic knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market with innovation
•Commercially aware with a strong talent for negotiating and networking
•Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture
•Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required
•Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence
•Experience procuring high volume orders
•Experience of procurement on an international scale (Far East & Europe)
•Natural Strong leadership capabilities
•Ability to drive and shape a successful team and business function
•Good knowledge of supplier or third-party clients/users/suppliers
•Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
•Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
•Experience in analysing data

Other:

•Experience within the sporting goods/eCommerce retail would be a distinct advantage
•Ideally degree educated or similar
•Be able to demonstrate a proven track record
•Be able to work autonomously
