Call receiving Operator

The Role

Working within a busy control room, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling alarm activations and customer queries in line with company and customer procedures in a timely and professional manner. The role is primarily for the Lone Worker department but the successful candidate will be expected to help out in other areas as operational needs dictate.

42 hours per week. 4 day on, 4 days off - days & nights.

Pontefract
£16900 42 hours per week. 4 day on, 4 days off - days & nights.

Responsibilities & Tasks


•Working as part of a team
•To handle alarms and telephone calls in line with customer and procedural requirements
•To complete administrative tasks as required
•Ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
•Log and maintain accurate customer records
•Communicating verbally and in writing with internal & external customers
•Develop and maintain close and co-operative relationships throughout the company
•Portray a professional image of the company at all times
•To escalate any identified issues to the duty manager and/or Head of Monitoring.
•Put forward any continuous improvement ideas and suggestions

Candidate Profile
•Previous experience working within an Alarm Receiving Centre or Customer Contact Centre
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with a range of individuals.
•Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
•Good organisational skills, meeting deadlines and ability to work under pressure.
•Prioritise work load.
•Ability to contribute to team goals, works calmly and efficiently under pressure.
•Adaptable, flexible and a positive attitude
•Willingness to learn and develop
•Excellent listening, verbal and written skills
•Must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge base in IT systems.
•Team Player.
