Warehouse and Transport Manager

The purpose of the role is to efficiently manage the day to day running of the plant warehouse, taking into account available external warehouse space, while ensuring all transport requirements are arranged in a timely manner and the required secondary packaging is in place to meet production demands.

£36,000 - £40,000


• Warehouse layout and optimisation
• Stock capacity forecasting including relevant external warehouses
• FIFO Compliance and ensure clear stock instructions are adhered to
• Responsible for plant warehouse stock integrity
• General warehouse hygiene


• Assess customers’ fill/stock requirements and plan stock transfer orders (STO’s) to suit
• Arrange export and UK transport
• Update Transwide with activity/timestamps
• Monitor vehicle/trailer standards and act on any non-conformances
• Management of dedicated fleet where appropriate

System Admin/Reporting

• SAP/SFOL Housekeeping
• Transwide template management
• Analyse Transwide to assess haulier on time arrival performance and escalate to central any poor performance
• Ensure delivery note records are in place and retained for pre-requisite legal time periods
• Warehouse KPI reporting


• Maintain holiday planner and ensure adequate resource available against planned workflow
• Return to work completion
• PDPs
• Performance/conduct breaches investigation and relative actions


• Conduct a daily count of stocks on site
• Assess stock levels against production requirements and arrange for replenishment to ensure the production schedule can be met


• Monthly EHS audit
• Monthly glass audit
• MHE Fleet Management

The person

• 5 Years Operational management experience in a fast moving warehouse environment
• SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel at high level)
• Good prioritisation skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good negotiation ability.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Flexible and a team player.
• Solution orientated.
